Experimental and Numerical Study on Mechanical Characteristics of Aluminum/Glass Fiber Composite Laminates

چکیده

The fiber-metal composites made of aluminum sheets and glass fibers reinforced with a polyester resin as the matrix were studied. prepared by hand lay-up method. Some aspects manufacturing affecting composite behavior considered. In particular, influences arrangement layers their number on mechanical physical properties ten different compositions investigated. addition two densities tensile modulus, impact strengths determined following ASTM D3039 D6110 standards. results obtained show that laminate Young’s modulus strength composite. test laminated structure illustrate significant increase in owing to adding compared control specimens. simulations tests using ABAQUS-based FEA performed.
